Our Philosophy

We believe Angel Investing needs to be reimagined, and the traditional approach is outdated, inefficient and structurally unsound. We believe that success is predicated on diversity of opinion, diversity of ideas, diversity of knowledge, and a proessional detailed investment process.

Active Angels Network Events

Active Angels Network will host a variety of events during the year. These include:

Monthly investor meetings where two companies present to members.
Quarterly special events with guest speakers.
Monthly education events.
Monthly networking events.

Investor meetings normally attract 35-40 people. These range from accredited investors, who are primarily looking to invest in companies, to young people looking to grow their work skills, discover more about the business world, and learn about angel investing.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Our sponsorship options range from Main sponsor to General sponsorship.

Main Sponsor

The main sponsorship is a naming sponsorship and a cash sponsorship. The main sponsor will receive recognition in all marketing material, be recognized at the beginning of each meeting, and be recognized with signage at all events. Currently, the main sponsor is Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm.

Event /Host Sponsor

The event sponsor is a naming sponsorship. The event sponsor will be responsible for the food for each meeting. There is a financial commitment for the sponsorship. The event sponsor will have prominent placement on the website and during the meetings. In addition, the event sponsor’s name will be highlighted on all food-related items. The host sponsor will be responsible for providing meeting space for the monthly investment meetings.

Accounting Sponsor

The Accounting Sponsor is responsible for providing accounting advice to the group, assisting in preparing financial documents for investment, and advising on other financial and accounting situations. There is a financial commitment for the sponsorship. The Accounting Sponsor will have prominent placement on the website, and during the meetings. They will also be recognized on all financial documents provided by the Angel Group.

Legal Sponsor

The Legal Sponsor is responsible for providing legal advice to the group, assisting in preparing legal documents for investment, and advising on other legal situations. There is a financial commitment for the sponsorship. The Legal Sponsor will have prominent placement on the website, and during the meetings. They will also be recognized on all legal documents provided by the angel group.

Special Event Sponsor

The Special Event Sponsor is a naming sponsorship and will vary depending on the special event. This sponsor will share the limelight with the main sponsor. The special event sponsor will receive recognition in all marketing materials, be recognized at the beginning of the special event and given the opportunity to briefly speak, and be recognized with signage at the event. The Special Events are quarterly events that will be held at various locations. The sponsorship will include a cash payment to cover the cost of the special event and other potential fees. This sponsorship will be a one-time fee.

Guest Speaker Sponsor

The Guest Speaker Sponsorship will vary depending on the speaker. There is a financial commitment for the sponsorship. The guest speaker sponsor will receive prominent placement in all PR and other related material, will receive recognition in all marketing material, will be recognized at the beginning of the special event, will introduce the speaker at the event, and will have signage at the event.

Angel Company Sponsor

The Angel Company Sponsorship will represent one or more of the entrepreneurial companies presenting at the monthly Active Angel Network event. There is a financial commitment for the sponsorship. The sponsor will introduce one (or more) of the companies at the event. The Angel Company Sponsor(s) will be recognized on the website.

Banking Sponsor

The Banking Sponsor will be responsible for the banking relationship with Active Angels Network. This will be a cash sponsorship in addition to providing in-kind services.

Wealth Manager Sponsor

The Wealth Manager Sponsor will be responsible for the wealth management relationship with Active Angels Network. This will be a cash sponsorship in addition to providing in-kind services. The Wealth Manager Sponsor will have the opportunity to interact with accredited investors; their primary potential clients.

Marketing Sponsor

The Marketing Sponsor is The Barry Group, who is responsible for all Active Angel Network marketing activities. This includes SEO and social media, monthly communication with members, and public relations.

General Sponsor

This is a cash sponsorship that allows up to four people from one firm to attend any meeting.

Sponsorship Information

Our sponsorship options range from Main sponsor to General sponsorship. In addition to the networking benefits, sponsors receive various levels of recognition and promotion based on the sponsorship they choose. These benefits include:

Attendance

All sponsors will be allowed to bring two members at no charge to special events, educational events, seminars, and networking events. Additional event attendance will be at a reduced rate.

Networking

This is one of the main values for any sponsor. Active Angels Network is a select group of businesspeople who will be attracted to our sponsors.

Website

All sponsors will be recognized on Active Angels Network website. The main sponsor will be highlighted. The event/host sponsor will be highlighted for each individual event. Each sponsor's listing will include a brief description of their services, and a link to their website. Their logo will also be displayed.

Printed Material

All sponsors will be recognized in any printed material provided before or during the meeting. Active Angels Network will provide a brief description of the sponsor.

Social Media

The main sponsor will be highlighted in all Social Media Posts if space permits. Other sponsors will be highlighted accordingly, based on the social media post, and the topic. Active Angels Network will be restricted in their social media posts due to SEC regulations, FINRA regulations, and other investment restrictions. These posts will primarily be used to promote the Monthly Event, the Special Events, and guest speakers.

Traditional Advertising

The main and special event sponsors will receive recognition in any traditional advertising.

Public Relations

The Main And Special Event Sponsors will receive recognition in any public relations material. Active Angels Network will provide PR material, but does not have editorial content control, and therefore cannot guarantee the sponsors will be recognized. The special events will be titled, for example, “A Cyber Security Event presented by xxx and sponsored by xxx.”

Newsletter Advertising

The Main Sponsor will be mentioned in each newsletter, and will receive two quarterly ads at no additional cost. The Event Sponsor will be mentioned in each newsletter, and will receive one quarterly ads at no additional cost. Accounting, Legal, Banking, Wealth Management, and Marketing Sponsors will receive one yearly ad at no additional cost.
